Teacher Gift Card Bouquet – Cute & Easy to Assemble!

The end of the school year is quickly approaching!  A few weeks ago, I posted some inspirational ideas for teacher gifts with gift cards.  This year, I created a teacher gift card bouquet in a gift bag (like #1 below), and it’s so cute and easy!

Teacher Gift Card Bouquet – Dollar Tree Supplies

You can make a DIY teacher gift card bouquet too!  After my daughter’s preschool class contributed gift cards for the end-of-year teacher gifts, I bought supplies from Dollar Tree.  It was only $7 for two teacher gifts!

  • Wide and low gift bags (make sure the skewers are tall enough in comparison to the bag)
  • Coordinating tissue paper
  • Foam blocks (in floral section)
  • Wooden skewers (in cooking utensil section)

Teacher Gift Card Bouquet – Assembling the Gift Bags

Tape the back of each gift card to the flat end of a skewer.  Place a foam block in the gift bag.  I kept the block shrink-wrapped in the plastic to reduce any “shedding” from the block.  Stick the pointed end of the skewer into the foam block.

Place the larger gift cards (generally those mounted on cardboard) on the back “row”, and place the smaller gift cards in the front “row.”  You can also adjust where you tape the skewer on the back of the gift card to increase the height variance.

Once the gift cards are all in place, add some tissue paper in front of the skewers and behind the skewers.  That hides the foam block from view.

Teacher Gift Card Bouquet – Final Product!

Here are the final teacher gift card bouquets.  Aren’t they so cute?!

A Personal Card for Teachers

I also worked with my kids to fill out the free printable teacher thank you card.  It’s #3 on my Gift Card Teacher Gifts Inspiration Board.  My preschoolers don’t write very well yet, so I wrote down their answers for them.

And I had them create some artwork on the back of the card.

Tied up with some cute string, it’s a sweet way to personally thank each teacher and tell them a few reasons why they’re so appreciated.  What a great skill to teach children too – identifying why they’re grateful for someone in their lives.
